Reverse Robbery...?- January 20, 2025

 Howdy Gente!!

Hope everyone is doing great this fine Lunes

Truckin along in Trujui. Each day is a new adventure, and this week was filled with quite a bit to say the least. Quite literally opposite of last week. Not chill. But I love it!! With that being said, I'm just going to get right into some experiences. (Stay tuned to the end for the title explanation)

(Sorry in advance, this is quite the long email. Lots went down)

01/13- PDAY

This day was quite interesting to say the least. We first started with an all you can eat pizza place, after which we went to the church in Marilo, to play football and have a waterballoon fight. It was quite fun. However, we had an interesting experience on the way back to our house. We took the wrong bus and managed to end up a good 15 minutes out of our area. In the Buenos Aires, North mission. We decide to hop off the bus. Me and my companion and 2 others in my district, ran to the route after which we realized we had no money to pay for another bus. We thought we were done for, but lucky, I found a few bucks and were able to pay for a few of us. I knew we didn't have enough money but we still called the bus and when we got on, the bus driver happened to let us pass without habing to pay, without even knowing we were lacking money... a miracle, quite crazy.

01/14-

OK can't lie, this day was pretty stressful and very packed. First of all, our friends Facundo and Giuli got married and baptized. They're 18 and 21 years old, pretty crazy, yes. But anyways, that same morning we went to Ramos Mejia, to have interviews with the President. We left very early to be there on time. We took the bus then a train and all was going smoothly until the train skipped the stop for where we needed to be. We were stuck in a place called linears...(which is actually the church started in Argentina, Fun fact). But anyways, we were  there and had to be to the office in 20 minutes. It was a 45 minute bus ride and a 20 minute car ride. Luckily, I called the cab and we got there right at 10:30 on the dot, for the interview with President. Went well, but I do not know much about where I'll be this next transfer. We later went home, bought a cake for our friends, and planned the whole baptism. After which, finished the night out with a nice party and a baptism of our friends. It was truly amazing to see the love and joy that they felt being baptized and married. Even though they're young, they're making great choices, and now making covenants with the Lord.

01/15-

Not much, but we did have the birthday party of our recent convert, Derek. We bought him a cake, and he was very excited.

01/16-

Another one of those stressful days, but over all it was great. We were able to hear from one of the members of the Quorum of The 70, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, named Elder Walker, and his wife hermana Walker, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Once again, we had to go to Ramos Mejia and take a train. But it was a great experience and opportunity. We got to learn more about being able to focus on our missionary purpose of inviting all to come unto Jesus Christ through faith, baptism, repentance, reception of the Holy Ghost, and persevering until the end. It was a great lesson, and learning experience to here from a member of the 70.

01/17-

Had an intercambio (or 24hr exchange) with an Elder named Elder Willardson from San Clemente, California. He is a cool guy, and loves golf just like me!! So... we talked about golf all day long. He told me all his stories, I told him all mine, and overall a good day.

(Selfie, felt sharp, might delete later...😂)

01/18-

Had an interesting experience this day. So we left the 2 trainee Elders together during this exchange. Anyways, they were supposed to meet up with us at the church, at 3 o'clock. Well, we get there at 3pm and get a twxt from them of nothing but them humming the jeopardy waiting song... so we thought they were still at the Busstop. Next thing we know, it's 3:50pm and we still haven't heard from them. So i sent them a text with no response, after which i decided to go outisde to check. Welp, there they were standing outside talking to bishop. Turns out they had been there for 50min and didnt think to send us one text... quite the amusing event for me and Elder Willardson 😭

(Nice Sunset)

19/01- EXPLANATION OF TITLE

Last but not least!!! Ran into a group of extremely drunk guys on the side of a street. We saw them from a few blocks away screaming "speak English I dare you" I just laughed. There was nowjere to turn, so we kept going forward with courage. They stopped us, started harassing us and asking to see our stuff. I was expecting to get robbed. However, I decided to chabge up the tune of the conversation a bit and match their same energy. I started to go nuts with lots of energy and joking around, yelling lots, and making it into a funny situation, with lost of sarcasm. Turns out, they loved it...Well, next thing you know, 10 minutes later we are taking a selfie, and finished out trading hats with the main drunk guy, Alexis... And now I have a trophy to show that instead of getting robbed, I ended up robbing him!! (Because his hat was nicer than mine) So yeah, quite the interesting experience to say the least.

I apologize if this is all horribly written. I voice texted it, as I have to go to bed very soon.

This email is already very long, so for now, I will just finish out with a lovely quote. I read this, this week, from President Russell M. Nelson.

We are called to give God’s children the opportunity to become full heirs to all He has promised His faithful children. That is the greatest service we could ever render.

And

John 7:17

17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Have a Great Week Everyone!!

¡ Hasta lo Próximo !
