Emergency Transfer Again!?! May 12, 2025
Howdy Folks!
Yes. You read it right, another mid transfer change. My comp Elder Engar is no longer with me as Zone Leader and is going out to train a new kid to finish off his mission. So far this is the 2nd Emergency Transfer in the past two months. Pretty crazy, but when President recieves revelation, you gotta respect it haha!
Besides that recent news, it was a good week and we have began to get the ball rolling here in Padua. Instead of walking around in circles all day we have been able to get a good handful of 2nd lessons with people. Let's just say, the work is a LOT more enjoyable sitting in a chair and teaching than walking around all day.
Times a tickin here, let's just say that. I hit 10 months a few days ago as a missionary which is actually crazy.
NEWS BREAK:
- Shoutout Simon on signing to FAU and Jared to Snow College.
- My sister Adalyn and Tanner get married Thursday

- My new comp is Elder Benitez from Paraguay
Now for some weekly highlights:
• Had two Intercambies this week. One with Elder Cheney from Los Angeles, another with Elder Nieves from Tooele, Utah.
• Me and Engar were clapping some houses looking for people as usual when we noticed a house with a "Pure Honey" sign. Let's just say we are big pure honey fans and had been looking for some. So... we bought a kilo for $3. Absolute steal. Only issue is we didn't have a bag and we had to walk for another 2 hours. Lets just say Engars cargo pants came in handy. Also, the same night we managed to find Snickers!!!! So we bought their whole stock, which was unfortunately only 8.
• Work wise we have a handful of really progressing friends as of currently!
Silvina: {60-70yrs, Very Sweet}
We found her while clapping some houses. She shared with us her story of how her whole life she was looking for the true church. She was with the jehovahs witnesses for 25 years and was never baptized, evangelist, catholics, etc... We asked her if she had studied ours and she said, "Oh maybe I missed one" So now she is learning about the restored Church of Jesus Christ and even came to church this past week!
Ramiro: { 17 yrs old, A lktfle awkward but Smart kid}
Also found him clapping doors. He did not believe in God at first but we have been helping him gain his testimony and progress! He loves reading the Book of Mormon and even came to church last week.
Claudia: { Mid 50s, A little Sad currently but we are working on that }
This one was a miracle. Claudia had been being taught by the missionaries previously but decided to not continue learning because she didnt want to disappoint her Catholic mom. Well that happened before I got here to Padua. Well last Monday we were on our way to a lesson at 8:30 pm and for some reason decided to take a different road, leading us by Claudia's house. I had never once seen her outside. Well we passed by and there she was taking in a homeless dog off the street. We sparked a convo and she was clearly not OK mentally. We talked for a good hour in the dark and helped her out a bit. We left and have been going back every day this week to help her gain back her testimony of God. The other day she shared with us that the night we crossed paths was simply a miracle from God. Firstly, because she never goes outside past 8. Secondly, she was in the process of thinking of a way to kill herself. So... luckily God put us in her path. She is doing better and we are currently working with her to help her overcome her challenges!!
With the Fam Pereyra ^^
- Some Elders in our Zone got robbed the other day. A dad and kid pulled up with their motorcycle next to them while they were in the street around noon. The 17 yr old kid hopped off and tried to take the Elders phone and decided to hit the elder in the face. So yeah that was an interesting event in the zone this week!
Nothing too crazy happened 2 weeks ago. Although I did get to have an intercambio with my CCM comp Elder Burgess!! So that was super fun. We both enjoy golfing so we decided to take a few minutes and watch the golf course. I nice refresher.
Ah. We also saved a kitten from the streets.
To finish off:
If they reject us they shall have our testimony, for we will write it and leave it upon their doorsteps and windowsills.’ - Joseph Smith
Revelation 1: 5-7
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Have a Great Week!
¡Hasta lo Próximo!
