Chao Clark- April 7, 2025
Buenos Dias, Buenos Dias,
Long time, no see. Hope everyone is doing well!
First off, we had an ET (Emergency Transfer). Don't worry, nobody's hurt! Elder Clark has already been in Padua so is going to try out another area before he goes home. It was a short three weeks, but we became good friends. If you see Elder Clark, tell him I miss him! But on the bright side, Elder Engar from Price, Utah is here now! He's a cool guy, and I'm excited to work with him.
Here are some experiences from the last couple of weeks:
* Last Saturday, while we were knocking on doors, we ran into Karina! She was super nice and listened to our message. She came to church the next day and loved it! When we showed her the Church app and she saw President Nelson, she got excited and said she recognized him from YouTube and loved what he had to say, and knew he was a heart surgeon. Testimony of the Prophet: CHECK! She also came to General Conference this Sunday, and is on baptismal date for this coming Sunday, so please keep her in your prayers!
* I went on an exchange with Elder Lopez from Chile again! We were having a good time, until the plumero (plumber) decided to come try to "fix" the sink. He started taking the whole countertop apart, and three hours later it still wasn't fixed! We ended up leaving a little late haha.
* I made tacos for the first time on the mission with Elder Robison from Idaho.

* We're best friends with a dog named Tyson. He's on one of our routes, and every morning he's waiting to play fetch. Very nice feller.
* Remember that crazy rain and wind from the last email? We didn't let it get us down and decided to play around in it.

* Lots of fun shenanigans with my boy Elder Clark
rip
rip* I went on an exchange with AP Vigorito. Super down to earth and relaxed guy. It was nice to see a different perspective and learn a new way to start conversations. We also taught a guy named Leon, who is an actor for Disney and a private pilot. He got baptized yesterday!
* Tie trade with Clark before he left.

* SPIRITUAL: Were able to watch General Conference! President Nelson focused on having "Confidence Before God." Think about how we have confidence before God... By following Jesus Christ, having charity and virtue, loving one another, being peacemakers, and holding our light up for the world to see. My new comp said, "God doesn't need a Chorus, he needs a Symphony. We each have to play our own notes and in our own ways, yet at the same time playing to the same song/direction (Jesus Christ). That is how we become Confident together, before the face of God."
- Miracle!! A family of recent converts (Fam Pereyra) had a crazy experience this week. The dad was driving to work when someone hit the back of his car, sending him into a spin into oncoming traffic, yet somehow went perfectly in-between all of the other cars, hitting the barrier on the other side of the highway. He walked away basically untouched!
So yeah... that's what I've got for ya!!
I'll finish with a quote:
"I have learned about how God sometimes gives us blessings. At first, we are called to do something that seems hard—or even impossible! Then the Lord teaches us and lifts us through His grace, or the “enabling power” made possible by His Atonement. Only after we get to the other side of the task do we see His hand and His blessings in our lives. As President Thomas S. Monson (1927–2018) taught: “Do not pray for tasks equal to your abilities, but pray for abilities equal to your tasks. Then the performance of your tasks will be no miracle, but you will be the miracle.” - How Could I Not Be Happy - April 2025 - Liahona
Nothing But Love!!
¡Hasta lo Prรณximo!
