Updates from Paradise- Mexico MTC. July 31, 2024
Anddd were back, week two in paradise. Hope everyone had a great week. This might not be the longest email ever, as the days are starting to blend here in the mtc, however as each day passes I get closer and closer to Argentina!! Can't wait.
One thing I absolutely love about the training center however, is that we get to go to the México City LDS Temple each week. The bus ride is about an hour through Mexico and it is so cool to see the culture around. As for the temple, it is a indescribable feeling and experience. I will attach a few pics from the Temple this and last week.
As for Español, let's just say it's sorta coming along, very slowly. Although I know that each day of hard work will get me closer and closer to being fluent. Our classes are about 3 hours each every day, so they are quite brutal, however they definitely teach you a lot.
One message I would like to share from this week is about enjoying the journey rather than the destination. This is a crucial mindset to have both in life and especially on a mission. As I go through these 2 years I have made it a goal to always focus on each day at a time and each experience at a time. I encourage everyone to choose the right and enjoy the journey of life. The end is inevitable, however the journey is personalized. Make your journey worthwhile, love your neighbor, seek to glorify god in all your actions, center your journey in CHRIST, and I can promise you will find more joy in your day to day experiences.
Ether 12:4 - Book of Mormon
4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.
